Fractional Skin Resurfacing
Over time, environmental and genetic factors can take a toll on your skin…the face, chest, arms, hands and more. Laser resurfacing technology can restore your skin to a more youthful appearance, and Dr. Azizzadeh uses the latest generation of resurfacing technology to get excellent results: Palomar Lux1540™ Fractional Laser.
How does fractional laser technology work?
The laser delivers light in high precision micro beams that create narrow, deep columns of skin coagulation (heat) that penetrate below the epidermis and into the dermis to eliminate old epidermal pigmented cells. The healthy tissue initiates a natural healing process, accelerating the production of collagen and new, tighter tissue to replace the skin’s imperfections. Coagulated cellular debris is expelled as the skin is resurfaced. The result is a fresher, more youthful skin tone and texture.
Our office will treat only a portion of your skin (20–25 percent) during each session. The number of sessions varies, but on average patients require three or four sessions.
Benefits of fractional laser technology:
